About
I am a PMRF PhD candidate in Manufacturing Engineering Section, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras under the advisement of Dr. Sushanta Kumar Panigrahi. My research focuses on micro/nano Magnesium-Matrix composites, Twin-roll casting, Sheet-metal forming, Plasticity and deformation behavior of materials.

About Advisor
Dr. Sushanta Kumar Panigrahi received his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2009. He worked as Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Centre for Friction Stir Processing, Missouri University of Science & Technology, Missouri , USA from 2009 to 2012 before joining IIT Madras. He was also a Visiting Professor at Ecole Centrale Nantes, France during May-June 2016. He has published more than 65 papers in peer reviewed SCI journals with average impact factor of 4.4. His publications received more than 2000 citations and his Scopus h index of 26. He has been actively associated with sponsored projects with different funding agencies like; DST, ISRO, DRDO, DSIR, MHRD, DHI, Mahindra & Mahindra, Renault Nissan, Magnesium Elektron North America, Titan Company Ltd, HINDALCO-Aditya Birla Group, Rane NSK Steering System etc..
